Leather looks different in person - I ordered
the white pair and when I opened the box I was
very chagrined to find that the leather is
"distressed"-like cracked, peeling
paint. I found that so unattractive I didn't
even bother trying them on. Too bad, as I'm
looking for a sturdy, but reasonably trendy
walking shoe for an upcoming European study trip
this summer. It might be what you want, but we
should know that ahead of time! "
